The history of the men's club

During 1973, considerations about establishing a men's club gained momentum.

Regular Wednesday matches had already been held for some time, and these matches were highly sought after.

The initiators were i.a. Poul Kongstad, Karlo Hansen, Torsten Wulff, Niels Schjelderup, Finn Herskind, Kurt Rasmussen and Erik Vestergaard.

On Wednesday 29 May 1974, the first Wednesday match was played in the men's club. The number of members quickly increased to 20 - 25. Matches against out-of-town clubs were quickly established, which are still pleasant times. Today we are a group of grown boys who all love to play golf. Come and join us, we attach great importance to the social side. But also want to compete against each other, so that nothing is given at the door. All male members over the age of 18 of golf club Storstrømmen are welcome. You are welcome to come and try playing a few times before making up your mind. So don't hesitate to contact us. Normally, the game is played on Wednesday at 10:00, 13:00 or 16:00. However, you can also play on Saturday. On Saturdays there are no fixed times, so you book the time yourself, just as you make an appointment with at least one other member.



We have an annual man trip with accommodation and games on some exciting courses. In addition, we have an annual RyderCup tournament held on a Saturday with a closing celebratory dinner.
